ABS join the National Federation of Roofing Contractors

Ashton recently became proud members of The National Federation of Roofing Contractors. All member contractors are rigorously vetted before joining NFRC and every three years thereafter to ensure they offer the highest standards in workmanship and customer service. The criteria for membership includes..

  • A satisfactory trading record, including financial stability
  • Inspections of past contracts to verify quality craft skills and technical competence
  • Satisfactory public, employers’ and third party insurance cover
  • Compliance with Health and Safety Legislation
  • Compliance with the NFRC Code of Practice as well as British and European Standards
  • Compliance with the Government-endorsed TrustMark scheme (for domestic contracts), of which NFRC is an approved scheme operator, set up to help the general public find reputable tradesmen to carry out work on their home.

Chamber of Commerce Membership

ABS recently joined the 9000 Scottish companies who make up the membership of Scotland’s Chamber of Commerce. We’re looking forward to networking with businesses in our field and promoting our roofing service to companies across Scotland.

Danosa Roofing Training

Ashton recently undertook training with Danosa to become one of their approved contractors.

The Danosa range of waterproofing products have a long and successful history, produced under strict quality control standards. Danosa synthetic waterproofing membranes have been specifically developed to achieve a fast, sustainable, durable, environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing waterproofing solution. Over 3,000,000m2 of Danosa membranes have been installed in the UK without a single recorded product failure.

Contractors have to be trained and approved to install Danosa roof systems.

MCM Licence Agreement

MCM design, manufacture and supply a range of Replica Lead, Copper and Zinc roofing/cladding systems. We recently negotiated a licence agreement to manufacture, supply and install their wide range of roofing and cladding systems.
