What a great start we are having to 2022 with our team expanding and exciting new projects to get underway. We are pleased to welcome Jamie McErlean as our new Contracts Supervisor.

We are so pleased to welcome Marie on board as our new Finance Manager.

Marie brings with her over 18 years Finance experience within the Construction Industry and a further 20 years managerial at Xerox and various other companies’.

Kenneth has over 32 years in the Construction Industry working on major projects around Great Britain in various roles within the supply chain.  Also, 16 years of these with his own Roofing & Cladding Business.

Tilly is also happy to see a new face to the team.

We are pleased to introduce our new Business Development Manager – Peter Johnston to our team.  Peter brings over 10 years’ experience in Procurement & dealing with Supply Chain. We are glad to have you on our team!

Well done Arran for completing his HNC Quantity Surveying (Grade A). He is now going straight into 2nd Year to complete his BSc at University… all the hard work is paying off!

Ashton Building Systems are finalists in this year’s NFRC Scottish Roofing Contractor of the Year Awards for the re-roofing works carried out at the Waterfront Church, Clydebank.

Ashton Building systems recently completed the waterproofing works to the Historic Mansion House, Larbert. 

With a liquid coating system installed directly over the failing roofing membrane the roof was issued with a new guarantee and an upgraded appearance. Working with our suppliers to provide full specifications and construction details to the client to deliver a first-class project delivered within budget.

ABS Ltd are happy to announce  their promotion to Gold Membership!

This membership credits us with pre-qualifications and Industry SSIP certification for Health and Safety.

Our credentials, Environmental Management, Equal Opportunities and Modern Slavery Act adherence to name but a few.

Ashton building systems recently completed the gutter lining and external perimeter detailing to two new blocks of residential flatted developments for one of our repeat customers – with new single ply membrane dressed under the new tiled roof and membrane up and over the parapet and completed with our external metal membrane coated trims all fabricated in-house with over 200 mtrs of works involved.   

Don’t leave it till it’s too late! The Showcase Cinema required our urgent attention after the roof failed, we quickly sorted out the problems as you can see from our before and after photographs.

Ashton Building Systems Ltd. were pleased to host another training day for our staff instructed by STS group Ltd.’s Derek Pudney.

We were instructed on Asbestos awareness and manual handling and the proper practises and procedures around both. For our experienced members of staff these courses were excellent for highlighting issues in these areas and reiteration correct practice. Our new members of staff were surprised to see the amount of planning, assessment and methodology we put in to ensure all our staff can return home safely from work.

Ashton building systems recently completed the supply and installation of both roof and wall panels including all perimeter flashings and feature fabrication works all from our in house fabrication facility.

With the complexity of the wall panels with varying panel types and modules we provided a full envelope solution including all safety elements and access to successfully complete the project to the satisfaction of the Client.  

Ashton Building systems recently completed the flat roofing package at the Hillhouse Road Project in Hamilton, a 29 home development for retirement housing.

With approximately 1000m2 of VCL, Rigid insulation and mechanically installed roofing membrane providing a 20 year warranty the project was completed in March 2019 both on time and to the Clients budgets.

Ashton Building Systems celebrated their milestone of 15 years of business in May 2017.

Set up as a roofing company in 2002, Ashton Building Systems have grown and developed into a larger company, now providing cladding and fabrication services as well as roofing.

Without the continuous support from clients, staff and suppliers throughout the years, we wouldn’t be where we are today. We are thankful for the opportunities you have given us to develop as a company. So from all of us, thank you, and here’s to many more!

ABS are delighted to be part of the Modern Apprenticeship Program, which supports young people by providing employment opportunities, qualifications and training whilst paying a living wage.

Chloe, one of our Business Administration Apprentices has also recently passed her NVQ in Business & Administration Lvl 3 whilst working with the company.

Shannon also recently completed her NVQ in Business & Administration Lvl 3 whilst working with the company.

Both Shannon and Chloe continued their employment with the company after their apprenticeships.

Ashton recently became proud members of The National Federation of Roofing Contractors. All member contractors are rigorously vetted before joining NFRC and every three years thereafter to ensure they offer the highest standards in workmanship and customer service. The criteria for membership includes..

• A satisfactory trading record, including financial stability
• Inspections of past contracts to verify quality craft skills and technical competence
• Satisfactory public, employers’ and third party insurance cover
• Compliance with Health and Safety Legislation
• Compliance with the NFRC Code of Practice as well as British and European Standards
• Compliance with the Government-endorsed TrustMark scheme (for domestic contracts), of which NFRC is an approved scheme operator, set up to help the general public find reputable tradesmen to carry out work on their home.

Ashton recently undertook training with Danosa to become one of their approved contractors.

The Danosa range of waterproofing products have a long and successful history, produced under strict quality control standards. Danosa synthetic waterproofing membranes have been specifically developed to achieve a fast, sustainable, durable, environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing waterproofing solution. Over 3,000,000m2 of Danosa membranes have been installed in the UK without a single recorded product failure.

Contractors have to be trained and approved to install Danosa roof systems.
